Mr Shilton’s barber shop is situated in Newquay, and making waves in the Hipster environment. The quirky and unique barber shop has become a massive success, with customers flooding through the doors consistently. Mr Shilton is quite the character himself, with a very laid back and chilled personality as well as being a leader in the hipster movement with his looks. The shop is situated above the Watershed surf shop which is also a quirky environment with its own twist on the hipster movement. Mr Shilton’s shop offers a range of cuts as well as tradition shaves.

When looking around the shop, you can instantly see the style with the traditional layout of a barber shop, as well as the equipment used. It gives a very rustic impression, alongside a very friendly and helpful welcome. Mr Shilton originally started his love of being a barber during his teenage years, and after years of experience is one of the most notorious and successful barbers in Newquay. Becoming a barber has always been an ambition to Mr Shilton and is now a passion of his, which is reflected when you see the quality and skill of his work.

 His unique style and approach to the barber industry is definitely leaving its mark on Cornwall. As he has also won awards such as: Britain’s Best Shave 2016, and the British Barber Association Award. He is also competing for the WAHL British Barber Awards 2018.
